Be sure to get your raffle tickets for this year's "Anoka Rotary Travel Raffle" which are available until the drawing on October 12, 2023.  This year's Anoka Rotary Celebration and Travel Raffle Drawing will be held at 10K Brewing in downtown Anoka.  Dinner and activities kick off at 6:00 pm for Anoka Rotarians and guests in the Empire Saloon followed by Comedy Night in the main taproom at 7:00 pm.  The official drawing will be held at 9:00 pm.  The grand prize is a $3000 travel voucher from Elk River Travel or $2000 in cash.  Second prize is a $500 gift card from By the Yard, and third prize is a Yeti Cooler.
 
Over 3000 Dictionaries Distributed to Third Grade Students
Rotary Clubs of Anoka, Blaine/Ham Lake and Coon Rapids along with community partners, Connexus Energy, Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation and the Lions  Clubs of Dayton and Ramsey distributed over 3000 student dictionaries to third grade students in the Anoka-Hennepin District # 11 and private schools in the area. Third grade students use their own personal resource book to help with their learning in reading, writing, research and critical thinking. These student dictionaries also have information about the US States, Capitals, and Presidents, World Countries, Braille, Sign Language, Planets, Metric Measurements, and more.
