Anoka Rotarians joined the Anoka Police and other volunteers on August 27th for a special community event providing school supplies, fresh produce, personal hygiene products, infant care products and resources, housing and mental health resources and meals.  From 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, families could drive up at George Enloe Park in Anoka and their car would be loaded by the Anoka Rotarians with backpacks full of school supplies for their children and other items they needed.  Over 175 backpacks for elementary, middle and high school students were given out.  These backpacks were filled with pencils, pens, notebooks, 3 ring binders, headphones, watercolor paints, glue, crayons, colored pencils, folders, markers, highlighters, note cards, and calculators.  Many of these supplies were donated by the Rotarians.  In addition, the ACBC Food Shelf provided over 80 large boxes of fresh produce and almost 200 meals.
